Final Script

Below is my Final Script that i wrote with the help of research from all different Radio Stations to gain an understanding of how mine should be. 

End of song – (easy listening) “We are never getting back together” Taylor Swift

Ella Stewart (show presenter) – That was Taylor swift with “We are never getting back together”. A little message there for One Direction bad boy Harry Styles. Lets hope that Taylor sticks to her word.

After the News Headlines, we’ve got another hour of great music and our competition where one lucky listener can win 2 tickets to Paris in our “Love to Love Valentine’s competition”.

Boots advert (sound effects needed)– kids grab Dad and push him into the cupboard,

Dad- um, no um she said she doesn’t need anything…

Kid 1- (on walky-talky sound effects) Operation useless Dad is a go; I repeat it’s a go

Kid 2- How about the YSL perfume set?

Kid 3- or what about the GHD Hair straighteners

Dad- How about both?

Tesco advert – sounds of people frantically rushing around/getting into cars

Wife: so you’re taking Max to rugby training and then straight on to his guitar lesson

Husband: and you’re taking Ellie to ballet, and then straight to tennis

Wife: Don’t forget he needs to be at the party by 2.00

Husband: and you’ll have to drop Ellie off at swimming at 2.30

Sounds of car doors slamming and engines starting, squeaky wheels

Good morning, I’m Scott Adams

Secretary of state for health Jeremy Hunt has announced that NHS Nurses will receive a 5% pay increase over the next three years. The increase is a sign that the UK is moving further out of recession and is the first proposal to be implemented as part of the government’s radical overhaul of the National Health Service

Dorothy Curtis, Head of the Royal college of Nursing, the largest nursing union in the UK expressed delights at the announcement and is looking forward to the proposed changes in the health service

Dorothy Curtis: It has been a long time coming but my members are delighted with the news. This really is a just reward for the important work nurses do across the country. The government’s proposals will ensure that the UK’s health service remains the best in the world.

2.     Local authority admits blame in OAP murders

Bromley County council have admitted negligence on Day 4 of the trial of Steven Young, the man dubbed the OAP Killer. Young was released from the Sunny Trees Hospital in Bromley in 2010 and is standing trial for the murder of 4 old age pensioners over an 18-month period. Young, who suffers from Schizophrenia, was released from the local authority despite concerns about his erratic behaviour and violent mood swings. Bromley Councils spokesperson Sarah Flynn’s admitted that the local authority must learn from its mistakes.

Sarah Flynn: we acknowledge that Bromley County Council must take responsibility for the failures that lead to these terrible events, and we will do everything in our power to ensure that these mistakes are not repeated. We express our sincere condolences to the families of Steven Young’s victims.

3.     Film Premier for “Three’s Company”

(Juno Jackson is Georgia and Lizzie Fox is Dana)

Last night the public was blown away by Lizzie Fox’s red carpet appearance at the premier of her latest movie “Three’s Company”. Fans flocked to Leicester Square to catch a glimpse of Miss. Fox and her co-stars Hollywood heartthrobs Ben Law and Marc Bell. Our Entertainments correspondent Juno Jackson was at the premier and put together this report for LoveFm.

Juno Jackson - The British Actress Lizzie Fox stunned fans in a black strapless Givenchy gown and Christian Louboutin black patent heels. The fans who waited patiently in the pouring rain were lucky enough to see not one, but all three of the films gorgeous stars. I was lucky enough to speak to the films lead actress as she made her way along the red carpet.

Juno Jackson (correspondent) – so, are you excited that this movies premier is in the UK?

Lizzie – Absolutely, after such a long time shooting and making sure everything was perfect for the movie, we are glad that we can share it with the public in London and see everyone’s reaction. It was brilliant working with Ben Law and Marc Bell, and it’s definitely been my favourite movie to work on.

Juno Jackson – I hear you get to kiss both the guys, how was that? Lizzie – hahha (laughs) what do you think?

June Jackson – can I ask who you end up with?

Lizzie – haaha (laughs) you’ll have to see the film to find out, thanks

4.     Couple married for 80 years on Valentines celebrate anniversary

And finally a couple from London who married on Valentines Day 80 years ago, are set to celebrate their anniversary later this week
98 year old Sheila Foster and her Husband Redge Foster who will be 103 later this year, are believed to be Britons oldest surviving couple to have married on the 14^th of February. Sheila told Love FM the secret behind the couples lasting happiness

Sheila: Never keep secrets from each other and never go to bed on an argument… Oh yes and make sure your husband always does as he’s told.
